Chapter 4 of Title 22 of the Pa. Code (22 Pa. Code 4.4) provides the right for any parent/guardian to excuse their child from the PSSA, PASA or Keystone assessment if, upon inspection of the testing materials, they find the assessment to be in conflict with their religious beliefs.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year will be held March 1-4, 2021. Please call your child's school to make an appointment.

On or about March 29th, CASD may tentatively return to five days a week face-to-face instruction (pending CASD Board action). In an effort to provide our counselors, teachers, support staff, administrators, and board of directors with data to make informed decisions, we are asking all families to complete one survey per student.

Dear Connellsville Area School District families, please view the attached video and read the attached document for more information about our holiday break and our return to virtual instruction after the New Year.

On December 16, the Board of School Directors approved that all CASD buildings would remain closed for students and instruction would be delivered online until January 11, 2021.

In an effort to consistently update our community on our ability to provide Face to Face education in our District, we wanted to share that we have not had any cases of COVID-19 that apply to the Pennsylvania Department of Education's Recommendations for Pre-K to 12 Schools Following Identification of a Case(s) of Covid-19

On November 12, 2020, at approximately 9:50am,CASD was notified of one
case of confirmed positive COVID-19 of a West Crawford Elementary staff member. All CASD schools will continue to operate in our four day face-to-face model with Wednesday remaining virtual for all students.

The Connellsville Area School District was notified by the PA Dept. of Health on October 23, 2020, that a staff member at WCE has tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total positive cases within a 14-day period at WCE to one. The staff member was last on campus on October, 21.
